spc xbar-range

Hi

I know that you can set "Subgroup Size" to control how many data points the range graph is calculated over, however is this flexible in any way?

For example, if I have an SPC graph for inspection criteria "weld bond strength" then perhaps this is measured across 4 different assemblies, each of which may have a different number of welds?

I am using 12.0.9

Thanks

Nick

In a very simple way, you could have a drop down list for your different methods that have assigned number of data sets. Whether this is static or dynamic, will determine the type of drop down and its calculation. Then you simply pass this number into the spc chart. This can be set in quite a few different ways.

But I want to show different units with different sample sizes on the same chart!

I've figured it out though, I just added some rows with no value for the units with smaller sample sizes.

Thanks for your help
