Correct preview, but wrong print out.

Hi all,

I created a new page format of size 255MMX205MM .Also created a format type with the same name.Copied the device type SAPWIN and added the new format created .Now the smartform that i created(using the new page) is all right in the print preview but the printer is printing only the A4 area (ie. skipping alot of space in the next page). What could be the reason ?The printer i am using is dot matrix(Lipi TallyGENICOM 6312 ). Eagerly waiting for respone. Thanx in advance.

Hi,

With windows device types like SAPWIN and a custom pageformat like e.g. Zxxxxx, there is no command sent to the Windows to

select the page format, so the default Windows page format is used.

As a solution, you can set a default page format in Windows. In thiscase, then you must set up the Windows default page format to match the paper size you require as described in the SAP Note 163136.
