No RR then No Usage Decision

I used a user status to make sure that if no Result Recording, then Usage Decision and stock posting not possible. That is working fine, but I need this to be valid only for required characteristics. It should not consider optional characteristics for this check.

But now, system checks whether the MIC status is "5" or not irrespective of Required or Optional MIC.

How can I make this User status setting applicale only for Required characteristic.

Please let me know how you have configured the user status. Actualy user profile checks only the status of the required characteristics.

INIT Status has two business transactions.

1.

Make usage decision with u201CForbidd.u201D and u201CNo actionu201D settings.

2.

Record Inspection results with u201CAllowedu201D setting.

QFIN status has three business transactions.

1.

Close Inspection u2013 Complete with u201CAllowedu201D and u201CSetu201D setting.

2.

Complete insp. u2013 short-term with u201CAllowedu2019 and u201CSetu201D setting.

3.

Start inv.posting before Usage Dec, with u201CForbidd.u201D and u201CNo actionu201D setting.

Then assigned to inspection type.

Objects are inspection lot with/without plans, all three are selected

Insp. lot w/o plan or char.

Insp. lot with plan and char.

All three object types I selected during assignment.

Really sorry of not promptly replying, am in midst of testing phase in project.

You dont need to take option 2 also. System will not ask for valuation of Optional Mics when used along with the required mics

What i suggest is to use both mics in a plan and do not valuate optional one. if the error comes while giving the UD please execute /nSU53 (authorisation check)

Its not allowing a UD wen I have inspection plan with combination of optional and Required MIC's in one plan. SU53, I am having ull authorisation.

I checked thoroughly and above statement is well valdated.

I request you to check once in your system, still its coming, I have to check my user status. Any way requirements can be met with previous thread.

I understood you, I have this functionality working fine for me.

Please test in this way, create 2 seperate inspection plan for 2 seperate material , one having only required and one having only optional mics. Create 2 inspection lot and try to give the UD code without doing the RR

Now check whether you are getting the same error in both the cases

As you told I tested with 2 seperate lot and its working fine. Means Restricting UD, if riquired chars are not valuated and 2nd case allowing me to do UD even if chars are not entered. But this scenarion will not work for me as in one inspn plan I have to maintain few required chars and few optional chars. In that case system will insist for completion of all required and optional chars for doing UD.

I found 2 way out for my requirement now.

1) User have to do force completion of optional chars even without result entry. This case valuation will change from '2' to "5'' and no problem in taking UD

2) If we maintain optional chars as long term MIC's then also system will not validate the valuation of optional/long term chars.

I think, I should go ahead with 2nd option.

If any characteristic is other than "5" in valuation, irrespective of Required or Optional MIC, system will not allow for UD saying user status is INIT, means result recording not complete.

I want this validation to happen only for my required chars, but now it is happening for optional chars also.
