Hi
I am not sure if there is any standard FM in Se37 for controling the communication channel in PI.
If your concern is to trigger/start or stop a communication channel with some external control then you can try out following Blog.
/people/william.li/blog/2007/05/04/control-communication-channels-externally-without-using-rwb
As mentioned in the blog ,you can call the URL from PI when required ,for this you can use BPM with a send step after receiving the response.
Other options can be use of OS command ,but for that please let us know what is the exact need to tigger communication channel from ABAP Code?

Srinivas

arey you speaking about triggering a scenario using abap proxies? if thats the case, have a look at client proxy weblog: [ABAP Report to trigger a client proxy|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/weblogs?blog=/pub/wlg/1387] [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken];
