Hi,
we have an PI 7.1 system with a decentral adapter engine on XI 3.0.
Since some time we are getting permanently the following warning in the logviewer (DefaultTrace):
1) PMI service not running (most likely because HTTP destination "pmistore" is missing), so no PMI agent data can be written.
After creating the HTTP destination pmistore, the warning changed to:
2) PMI agent configuration missing, most likely because no PMI process is active.
As we don't use PMI I want to stop it, but "Deactivating Monitoring" in RWB -> End-To-End Monitoring -> 'Display' -> Settings didn't change anything. Also when stopping the PMI service in Visual Administrator, the warning 1) appears again.
How can I completly stop the PMI?
I already checked the following sites:

Thanks,
Juergen
While researching the same warning message (PI 7.31 Java-only stack) I stumbled across this post and then found the newer OSS note 1802534 - PMI errors in the system log. Haven't applied it yet, but plan to do that if time permits. My apologies for updating this old thread, but I thought it might be useful for others doing the same search and if we're lucky it's a remedy...
