Product Hierarchy Configuration

Hello SDN,

How do you configure product hierarchy. I know you have to use OVSV and V/76 but how do you tie the different levels to the different digits?

How do you connect the nodes together? Does this have to be done in ABAP?

Also, Is this example below, a proper usage of product hierarchy in SAP.

Example

A company that sells t-shirts

Level 1: 00001 - Clothing

Level 2: 00100 - T-Shirts

00101 - Cotton T-shirts

Level 3: 01000000 - Graphic T-shirts

01010000 - Black

01020000 - Red

02000000 - Plain T-shirts

02010000 - Red

02020000 - Black

02030000 - Orange

Hi,

If you want to change the Product Hierarchy as you wish you need to take the help of the ABAPer. Goto SE11 and try to change the structure of PRODH. In this structure u will be having three fields with 6 characters each. If u want u can change as per u r logic.
