XI - JWS connection problem

I have a problem with launching IR/ID after intalling JWS and initial setttings.

THe error message is 'Access to the specified device,path or file is denied.'

Please help me out to clear this issue.

Hi Jilan

When the first time of launching IR/ID some jar files from server should be downloaded into our local system.

Sometimes it may not be done properly so you can take those jar files from server and copy them in your local system in the same path of the server (Same path of Server).

Earlier i have faced problems for launching IR/ID.I have done this way.

I guess your download has never worked. Try this.

Open Java Web start. Go to File>Preferences>Advanced tab.

Check the value of Applications Folder and see if the user id with which you are trying to run IR/ID has a WRITE access to this folder.

Hi,

Are you able to get the login screen for IR/ID? What is the version of JWS?

Just check whether Java runtime version enabled in File->preference->java (3rd tab).
