Accessing Windows folders with optional external Adapter Framework (AF)

Hello all,

we are runnning XI on Unix and have installed an extenal AdapterFramework (AF) on a Windows server to access transparently to shared folders in the Windows Domain.

But: Somewhere in the forum I read that the share needs to be accessible by the user the AF WebAS is running with (generally <SID>ADM), what means this user has to be a DOMAIN user which we want to avoid.

Is there any other chance?

best regards and thanks in advance

Peter

I hope you are talking about De-central adapter engine.

Have you considered the Plain J2SE adapter engine? It also supports the File adapter and can achieve the desired functionality in your case I believe.

Thanks for your answer!

Yes, I am talking about de-central AE.

I know the J2SE adapter engine but I thought it is more for testing purposes. And also you have the disadvantage of de-central monitoring: You can't monitor J2SE AE using the central XI instance. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
