There is no FTP service on the HP-UX. User root is not available for me.
With user <sid>adm, can I apply Java patches without uploading the SCAs?

Why can't you use third party tools to copy the files to your *nix server?
You can use WinSCP software to copy the files from your desktop to your *nix server (Even FTP not avilable, it use SFTP).

No, it is not possible.
It is manditory to upload the file in EPS/in for applying the patches thorugh JSPM.
