Installation of SAP GUI on Solaris

Hi,

I want to install SAP GU on Solaris x86 and sparc as well,

not getting from where to start,

i have downloaded 50098620_5 NW 7.0 Presentation - 7.20 Compilation from SMP,

pls advise the steps to install ,

Hello Irfan,

I would rather take this installer:

jre-6u20-solaris-sparc.sh 24.59 MB

I have tested this installer on my workstation sucessfully.

jre-6u20-solaris-sparcv9.sh does not contaqin the complete JRE but only sparcv9 libraries.

Hello Irfan,

There is a SAP GUI for Java for Solaris on sparc on SAP service market place::

Support Packages and Patche-> Entry by Application Group->SAP Frontend Components->

SAP GUI FOR JAVA->SAP GUI FOR JAVA 7.20

There is no version for Solaris on x86 or Solaris on x86_64.

Please note the minimal requried JRE version is 6.0.

If you have already dowenloaded the version for Solaris sparc

(PlatinGUISOL_2-10006061.JAR) you can simply install the application with:

java -jar ./PlatinGUISOL_2-10006061.JAR

our server is sparc.

is that file correct...? pls confirm
