Problem with working of supplementation language

Hello all,

we installed the language IT last week with supplementation language EN, system language EN and secondary language EN.

Everythink is fine in the sap standard, but if I go into the customizing and fill in description in italien and ignore some values and set it with space, I will not see this entries (space) inside the sap with EN.

Normally from my knowing, the system should show every entries I fill no in Italien, but in English, should appear in the drop down list with the englisch descriptions then.

My questions are,

- which setting in administration or what else is missing, that the system will show me the english descriptions for all mission IT-translations????

- Am I right, that I should see the english description if I click e.g F4, if the italien language is not customized????

Apologies if I misunderstand the issue. Is it that Italian has been implement and supplemented with English but you have empty areas where there is no Italian instead of the missing values being filled in through English?

Perhaps the first step should be to refresh the language load in the system:

For this, you must run the RSLANG20 report for all the languages

selecting all the options (do not forget to set the force mode ON)

and, after that, reset the CUA buffers and the dynpro buffers via

writing /$CUA and /$DYN in the OK-Code field.

As per note 110910 Deleting the language load

Then you MUST restart the system for the changes to take effect.

otherwise the language data is not refreshed and you wont see any change

If issues persist:

2 What release and fixpack level are you on and what language dvd was used?

Ensure it is the correct one for your SP level as per SAP note 330104

3. Ensure you supplement in all clients, starting with client 000 and working upwards.

4. Check for an red traffic lights in SMLT

Yes, you are right with your understanding of my problem.

I will try it. Hopefully the problem will solve with that.
