Hi,
How is the service parts planning module of SAP ? Is it mature enough to invest time in to learn it or should one wait for a couple of yrs before taking the plunge ? I do not see too many opportunities in this area. So was just asking.
Thanks
Hi GS,
Service parts planning module is very worth using for companies having
huge number of assemblies at the component level. The scope is much
broader for those companies wherein the assemblies have different
specifications and needs to get planned.
For companies having repetitive manufacturing scenarios, the scope is
little broaden.

Hi GS,
I can see requirements coming up in APO SPP and SAP SPM solution as a whole( which wiill cover ECC & SCM components) past 2 years.
Regarding maturity of APO SPP, from experiences we have for some clients, some amount of enhancements are required , because, Service parts supply chain managment processes are done quite differently across organizations.
Since the basic framework of SPP business processes is well set in APO SPP, it will worthwhile to spend time on this module.
These are my opinions.
I hope this gives answers to your query.
Pleae check.
Regards
Datta
