SAP NW PI7.1 Installation

Hi All,

I am trying to install SAP PI7.1 in my personal laptop and following this Demo for the same:

Till now I have reached the step:

SMP --> Software Download --> Download --> Installations and Upgrades --> Entry By Application Group --> SAP NetWeaver --> SAP Netweaver PI7.1 --> Installation and Upgrade.

Now as per the above Demo, there should be an option SAP DB under Windows Server; but I am not able to see this option.

So now my questions are:

1) What should I select instead of SAP DB? Will the rest of the procedure be still the same?

2) Then what files should I download, because the names of the files to be downloaded are also different in available options.

Hi ,

You can proceed as per the demo. check the Download Tab >

Are you able to see the MAX DB RBMS 7.6.* for downloading in the list ? If so proceed with the same and do not worry about the Database Tab. You have to download kernel file,Java componets,Database(Max Db if you plan as per Demo) ,Installation master as you see in the demo .

Hi

What is your meaning by saying "No Access to download from SMP"?

As you can acess sdn.sap.com, so you should be able to access http://service.sap.com,

is there any misunderstanding?
