Spool administration "Destination host" - Convert

Dear All,

I have completed OS/DB migration on sapr3 4.6c -> 4.6D kernel .

I want to change the Spool administration "Destination host " SPAD->Devcie/servers -> Output Devices

HostspoolAccMethod -> Destination host

I have around 100 output device printer has been configuired, Already changed the All Spool servers via (Utilities -> For output devices-> Assign server & Convert).

Same way I want to Convert the destination host of all output devices. Please let me know how to replace the "Destination host"

HI,

There is no standard function to avail this, but workaround is to update table tsp03d.

I guess this is your test system only , also you must take proper backup before changing it, or you may test after changing few entries only.

You can try oracle command or can ask your abaper to write a program for you.

update <sapscehma>.tsp03d set PAMSSERVER='newserver' where name like 'oldserver';

My system is Windows 2003/Sql 2000. Sure i Will try reheasal system first.

Query will remain same.

You need to modify according to your schema name

update tsp03d set PAMSSERVER='newserver' where PAMSSERVER = 'oldserver';

Found that The Destination host Column name is PALPDHOST.

I replaced one of the Printer settings in my rehearsal server. I am wondering whether can I use this method to replace the production server.

Malai,

Check if you are able to take print out after change.

Also before going for production , you should have proper backup plan , in case if its not working.

From your first post i can understand that you have done migration , so these printers are not working for now .

In this case you can go ahead with same.
