Migrating Scenarios from XI 3.0 to PI7.1

Hi Experts,

Can anyone who has done the migration of scenarios from XI 3.0 to PI 7.1 throw light on the process of doing it?

What precaution needs to be taken in order to see there is a seamless migration and that all the scenarios are working properly? Also what steps needs to be taken in new PI 7.1 to see scenarios using ABAP Server proxies , JDBC Adapter or RFC Adapter?

You have to import the metadata for SAP XI3.0 in the PI7.1 server befor you migrate....for more information you can refer the upgrade guide which tells you how to upgrade from PI7.0 to PI7.1 ...... conceptually the steps followed should be the same.

Hi Abhishek,

While importing the metadata where should we go to this operation. I am trying to go to SLD-> Administration -> Synchronization of SLD from remote system . I am trying to import from XI3.0 product system to PI 7.1 system. I am getting the error of version mismatch. Pls guide me....

please search in sdn before posting.

Only JAVA proxies and Adapter modules needs to be adjusted.
