WeB AS 6.40 installation error

Hi,

I am installing the Web AS and I am receiving the following error after a few seconds:

ERROR 2004-10-07 10:33:59

MOS-01224 Unable to add privileges 'SeTcbPrivilege

SeAssignPrimaryTokenPrivilege SeIncreaseQuotaPrivilege' to account

'WS-403165\dsb' on host '.'.

I am the administrator on this system.

Any suggestions are welcome,

Alexander,

I too am gettting the save error when trying to install on XP Professional. I am not signed in as administrator but I belong to the administrator group. If you get details on getting around this please post on this thread.

hi,

have you assigned the following rights to the user which performs the installation?

• Act as part of the operating system

• Increase quotas (Windows 2000)

• Adjust memory quotas for a process (Windows Server 2003)

• Replace a process-level token

Hi,

there is a <u>Windows XP Home Edition</u> installed on this System.

I have no idea where I could assign your settings.

On Windows XP Prof. Edition there was no problem to install the Web AS

IMHO, XP Home isn't supported by SAP. You won't be able to install it on this platform.

I found a document with the requirements for Web AS 6.40

SAP says XP Home is supported:

I've found the solution to the problem if you are still facing it. If you install the File and Print Sharing for Microsoft Networks service, you get past the error.
