I am using old version 4.6C NW for testing purpose.. I couldn't found init<SID>.sap file in any folder, where may I get it ???
Thanks
That is located on the oracle database (dbs in UNIX) directory
Look under <ORACLE_HOME>\database for Windows or <ORACLE_HOME>/dbs for UNIX

Juan

Hi,
As per you screenshot , backup is trying to happen on C drive.
but as per your init<SID>.sap , the backup should happen on D drive
backup_mode = all
backup_type = online
backup_dev_type = disk
backup_root_dir = D:\mybackup
stage_root_dir = C:\oracle\DBD\oraarch
compress_cmd = "C:\usr\sap\MTD\SYS\exe\run\mkszip -c $ > $"
uncompress_cmd = "C:\usr\sap\MTD\SYS\exe\run\uncompress -c $ > $"
compress_dir = C:\oracle\DBD\sapreorg
Check why backup is going on C drive.
IF you have to backup on C drive, then create folder MYBACKUP on C drive.
Thanks
Anil
Ok here is summary:
1. I create 2 folders in "C" drive mybackup and saparch
2. Give "C" for all permission full control
3. I am getting same error again... I think I know the problem is sql user and password
I am loging sql
/@dbd as sysdba
SQL> alter user system identified by ******** ;
SQL> commit;
when I try to connect system user I got an error:
Warning: You are no longer connected to ORACLE.
ORA-12560: TNS:protocol adapter error
How to change or reset password for system ? or how can I put /@dbd as sysdba in brtools ????
please any idea ?
Thanks
HI,
If its oracle it should be there in
Oracle_home/dbs or oracle_home/database
/Oracle/SID/<Oracle_version>/dbs
or
<d:/>/Oracle/SID/<Oracle_version>/database.
