Hi All,
In our ECC production system we are not getting the short description
of the imported request since afternoon.
When I checked the RFC "TMSADM-XXX.DOMAIN_XXX" in Development and
Quality server it is coming OK. While in production the same RFC is
giving error "error while opening an RFc connection",maximum number of
gateways exceeds 100.
I checked Check SAP Note 978078 - Maximum number of gateways reached
I even manually deleted the the old connections via smgw -> goto ->
remote gateways(delete) but still issue remains and we are not getting
the short descriptions.
Any help would be highly obliged.
Thanks & Regards,

Hi Pramod,
While in production the same RFC is
giving error "error while opening an RFc connection",maximum number of
gateways exceeds 100.
Can you check how many RFC connections are there in SMGW tcode.
If not in use such many session , kill the same.
Thanks
Anil

Hi Anil,
I did that 3-4 times still the same problem. Though as mentioned same RFC is not showing any error when tested from Development or Quality Server.Only in Production it is showing error result of which short description is not showing up
in STMS_IMPORT.
Dont know why it is not happening. Any other suggestions.
Also refresh didnt work.
Regards,
You should see the connections from SMGW -> logged on clients.
You can sortlist and findout which source has more connection and you can reduce the parallelism(server counts) from source(for example middleware or fro JCO) or increase the max number of gateways to 200.
Also pay ateention to note below as given in the thread pointed out by Nibu Anthony.
