Database Studio 7.7.06.09 Install - cannot find application data directory

Hello

I am trying to install Database Studio 7.7.06.09 for Windows (32 bit) on Windows Vista Business Version 6.0 SP1 (32 bit).

I succesfully installed the Database Studio and removed it with the MaxDb Installation Manager. When I try and re-install the Database Studio I get the following error: cannot find application data directory inside windows registry

I have MaxDB Database Manager 7.6.03.10 installed.

Output from the MaxDBSoftware_install-26.05.2010-09.09.log file in c:\Users\All Users\sdb\data\wrk:

hello,

Can you tell me what application data directory inside windows registry i set to?

Please check .. regedit for the following key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell Folders\CommonAppData

Additionally, please paste the environment(via 'set' command) of the user used for installation.

thanks, Junco

Hello Junco

I no longer have that PC in the same state as I have had to reload Windows Vista but I still have the same error when trying to remove the Database Studio with the MaxDB Installation Manager after a successful install.

1) Reloaded PC with Windows Vista Business Version 6.0 SP2 (32 bit).

2) Install Database Studio 7.7.06.09 for Windows (32 bit).

3) Database Studio works fine.

4) Remove Database Studio with MaxDB Installation Manager. Errors with: cannot find application data directory inside windows registry.

I have the output from C:\ProgramData\sdb\data\wrk\MaxDBSoftware_install-02.06.2010-15.24.log and C:\ProgramData\sdb\data\wrk\MaxDBUninstall_install-07.06.2010-09.57.log if required.

Output from SET command (after unsuccessful remove):
