Integrated Planning in SCM/APO

Hello colleagues!

We have some doubts about using BI Integrated Planning in SCM, i.e. should we install Java BI-components for Int.Planning on SCM?

Is it enough ( or maybe it must be done ) to insert string http://bwserver:50000/ via RSPLAN tcode in SCM system?

As we saw in BestPractice documents there are only integration SCM and BI system, and no any java BI-components in SCM.

Any help will be appreciated.

Regards,

Artem

Install all needed components on the same server.

HI,

For BI-IP, you "MUST" install java J2EE as the integrated planning modeller is a Web-based application that is installed on the J2EE Engine (RSPLAN).

Senthil and Rahul!

Thank you for answers! Points were rewarded. They are realy helpful, but I still have some misunderstanding regarding Rahul's reply.

Must I install java J2EE (integrated planning modeller) on a separate NW installation or install additional J2EE components on the existing SCM-server (Our SCM installation is ABAP/Java)?

Hi

Just to clarify the confusion you are having.. The installation must be on separate server than SCM

Thanks
