Hi,
I´ve read a lot about ArchiveLink and Kpro. I understand that Kpro gives more granular possibilities then ArchiveLink alone. But what is the key benefit using Kpro. I´ve read the manual for Kpro already which tells that Kpro provides some kind of meta layer and so on. But I just want to store documents and link them with e.g. orders. Maybe I did not understand the concept of Kpro. Another question. Is Kpro essential for Records Management or can RM deal with ArchiveLink as well?
Kind regards Matthew
Hi Mathew,
Couple of key kPro highlights that i can think of:
- Allows n:n assignment('n' originals attachment with 'n' additional files)
- Connection to index servers can be established to perform full text search
- Can carry out redlining functions for 2D,3D files if docs are checked in kPro
For improved understanding on kPro, browse http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sapportals.km.docs/library/netweaver/netwe...
For improved understanding on Archivelink, browse http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sapportals.km.docs/library/netweaver/netwe...
For your second question, the below thread may throw more light
