Replication-Same Vendor with different vendor no in different R/3 backend

Hello Experts,

We are in SRM 7.0 classic scenario.

We are facing an issue as explained below:-

We have connected a new backend R/3 system to SRM system i.e we now have 2 backend systems connected to SRM system.

The problem is we have same vendor with different vendor no in the different backends system.We want to transfer only R/3 nos and thus we are using external number assignment.

We have vendor no ranging from

1) 1 to 240000 in one R/3 system and

2) 1000 to 4500000 in 2nd R/3 system

i.e there is overlap in the vendor no as it can be seen, However we have defined ext number range from 1 to 50000000 in SRM system so that it covers the entire range for both the backend R/3 system.

My question is, can we replicate all the vendors from both the backend system i.e including the overlapping vendors.

If not,then how can we resolve this issue so that we have all the vendors in our SRM system from al the backends.

Also,we would like to avoid internal number assignment as this would lead to lot of confusions.

Any suggestions/pointers to resolve this issue will be highly appreciated.

Hi RKS

it is not possible.

number is unique .

for example

5001 - VENDOR CODE

5001 - ECCLNT101

5001- ECCLNT110

NOT POSSIBLE IN SRM SYSTEM

since but000 and venmap can not have duplicate values.
