Hi all please help me on "Variants versions"

How can i retrive the old version of a variant for a report? In table "varid" version number is stored. every time the variant is modified the version is increased by 1. does SAP store the old verson of that particular variant?

Please help me...............

Hi!

Better use protected or systems variants in the future. System variants (starting with CUS&) can even be transported -> an be re-imported from a transport request again.

But for now, start SE38, choose variants, display. Then in menu 'Variants' you can find 'Adjust' and a report 'Rescue obsolete variants' starts. I don't know, if this will help in your case, but I guess this is as much as can be done.
