Control Tables in SD

Gurus,

I came across below statement while referring data origine in sales documents (customer master, material master, condition master, out master data and control table)

The statement is - You can create and maintain control tables in Customizing. The default values of several data can be controlled in the sales and distribution documents depending on the table settings.

How and where can we maintain the control tables?

Hi,

Control table is used to link the values of the size category and data class defined in the Dictionary level to the underline date base table. Also go through the below link.

Hi Ashish,

I think the control table means customizing table which could be maintained with T-code SPRO->IMG or using SM30.

The tables usually starts with T, for example TVTA.

There are also T-codes for accessing several customizing directly, for example VOV8 for maintaining sales document type.
