Hi Gurus

We recently implemented APO DP and SNP.

DP Forecast is released to SNP ,where PO and Preq is generated.

Previously PIRS are generated in the R3 and we can able to see PIRS in MDO4.

After DP and SNP implementation we are not getting PIRS to R3. How to see PIRS in MDO4.How to CIF PIRS from SNP.

Thanks and Regards

Sai

Hi Sai,

To setup the Purchase Requisition transfer from APO to ECC.

You need to

1. in IMG->Advanced Planning and Optimization->Supply Chain Planning->Supply Network Planning (SNP)->Configure Transfer to OLTP Systems or /n/SAPAPO/SDP110

. change the setting from periodic transfer to immediate transfer based on your application.

2.If in /SAPAPO/C4 - Maintenance of global parameters , you change the setting of Recording (Default/Collect Changes/Do not collect changes), it will overwrite the settings you've made in 1.

Do not collect changes in 2 equals immediate transfer in 1.

If you select periodic transfer in 1, or collect changes in 2, you need to go to Process Change Pointers to manually process the transfer, Tcode: /SAPAPO/C5 - Send Planning Results to OLTP

3. If you are using CTM, check in the /n/SAPAPO/CTM, Settings tab, R/3 Integration, if Transfer Mode has been set to transfer or not transfer.

4. Also check /SAPAPO/CP1 - Maintenance of Distribution Criteria. If you want to transfer PREQ from APO to ECC as PIR, you need to Planned Independent Requirement, Location, Logical system and System ID as an entry.

If the External procurement has been register and assigned to appropriate logical system.

When you transfer the Purchase Requisition from APO to ECC. It didn't go through, in the Queue monitor there's a error message saying that the Item Category is not allowed for Document Type ZTP.

Then check the document type setting (IMG->Materials Management->Purchasing ® Define Default Values for Document Type) in ECC and found out that the default setting for Purchase Requsition in ZTP. ZTP is not a standard document type for Purchase Requisition, and it is not recognized in APO. Now I changed it to from ZTP to NB (standard document type for Purchase Requisition). Then the transfer of the Purrqs from APO to ECC go through successfully.

Only thing this setting might affect is in ME51 or ME51N to create a Purchase Requisition, the default document type field will be NB instead of ZTP.

Hi Abhi and Nikhil

We can see Preq and Planned Orders in MDO4 in R3.

we have created Integration Model for PIR , we are not getting it to MD04.

There is a way in DP to transfer the forecast to R/3 , but it wont supports Online transfer.

Is it like that when DP and SNP is implemented , PIRS are not released to MD04?

Actually our Users are very much familiar with MD04 till now and they are requesting to make visable PIRS in MD04.

regards

Sai

Hi Sai

As you have mentioned i dont think "online transfer" of PIR's is possible. You have to create a transfer profile (/n/sapapo/mc8u) , create an activity that has this transfer profile and then create a background job with the activity and run the job periodically to transfer the PIR's to APO.

Also you have to release the PIR's from DP to R/3 . The forecasts in DP show up as PIR's with requirements type VSF in R/3 . Please note that you have to release the PIR's to R/3 before running MRP in R/3

Thanks

Yes thru Transfer Profile we can transfer the PIRS to r/3.But it is only possible by scheduling periodic jobs.

Can we get the PIRS to r/3 using Integration Model?

Hi Sai,

Transfer of PIRs from APO DP to SAP R/3 is by creating a trasnfer profile and scheduling a background job , as is explained above.

Process Flow

1. Create a transfer profile.

2. Create an activity.

3. Create a planning job.

4. Schedule the planning job.

5. Review the job results in the job log, and take any necessary action.

What version of SCM you are on ?

For versions upto 4.1 , there is oss note 841070.

Integration model is used to transfer PIRs from SAP R/3 to APO .

Hope this gives insight.
