EP7.0 Start Instance failed

Hi, all experts,

when I start the instance , it is failed , the dev_server0.b00 error as below :

      • ERROR => The Java VM terminated with a non-zero exit code.

      • Please see SAP Note 940893 , section 'J2EE Engine exit codes'

      • for additional information and trouble shooting.

how to resolve it ?

Hi,

Can you paste the the log std_server0.out , just paste the error part.

The std_server0.out log as below:

Thanks for everyone's reply, the isuue is ok now,

the reason is the ms.host name and enqu.host name

was changed . so the instance start faild.

We send the error message to SAP Support , they find the clue for us.

Hi,

Check the latest defaulttrace.trc file which will give the error log and paste the log here.

the trace error as below:

trc file: "/usr/sap/J2E/JC00/work/dev_jcontrol", trc level: 1, release: "640"

      • ERROR => can't retrieve client list (rc=24) [jcntrms_mt.c960]

[Thr 182897318176] JControlCloseProgram: started (exitcode = 24)

Hi,

I was asking about the default trace log file which you can find at /usr/sap/SID/j2ee/cluster/serverX/log/defaultTrace.#.trc

Check for the latest log and see for the errors and paste the same here.

Have you gone through the note ? Just go through the below note and check the settings accordingly..

Hi Michael,

Please check and update JAVA_HOME system enviromental variable in my computer (My computer > Priperties >> Advance >> Startup and Recovery >> Enviromental Variable >> System Variables >> Add new JAVA_HOME parameter with path for installed Java JDK)

Also please check database server services (Start > Run > Services.msc >> Start your database services manually and change properties as automatic)

Then try to re-start the server.
