Hi

When EOD(end of day) is performed on any POS, all its transaction data (sales data & payment data etc) is converted in a flat file. This file is called as TLog file.

The TLog file is then uploaed in IS-Retail directly or through POSDM via SAP PI.

For Triversity, SAP has provided a preconfig standard solution which involves IS-Retail, SAP POS(Triversity), POSDM & SAP PI.

Triversity has better functionality as compared to other POS systems.

Hi

TLogs is transaction Logs.

The Transaction data file which contains Sales, payments,Inventry etc created by POS is called as TLogs.

The Transaction Logs generated by any POS system can be called as Tlog files.(Its a terminology).

The Tlog file contains all the details for Sales,Returns,Cancelled Transactions,Inventry,Tenders,payment details ,cashier details,POS terminal details & many others.

Hi

1) For SAP POS (Triversity), the Tlog file extension will be .DAT

2) For Non SAP POS, file extension can be .txt,.dat,.asc etc as per the POS standards.

Hello Tonyrao,

In SAP POS (formerly triversity) the tlog file is a binary file with the extension .txn. The files are located in the sdata directory

on the xpress server with the naming format of ssssrr00.txn or ld.tx located on the pos terminal in the rdata folder

where:

SSSS = Store number

TT = Terminal number

00 = The current dayu2019s file for that terminal (00 always means today)

The txn or tlog file must be converted to an ascii format by running cvtlog.exe utility

click below for the data flow information

hope that help

Hi ,

The Genral Landscape for SAP IS Retail is Store -> ETL -> POSDM -> ECC.

The TLog file in SAP Architecture resides in POSDM and the actual name of this deep structure table is /POSDW/TLOG.

When the BAPI CALL runs it pushes data in this table. And when data processing takes via PIPE Dispatcher

/POSDW/PIPEDISPATCHER program then it processes this TLOG data according to business rules or tasks as per POSDM Config .

This will push data to ECC via IDOCs or can push data to BW Cubes as the case may be...

So its the POS data => POSDW TLOG => SAP ECC Transactional data like Billing doc / Art DOC / Acct DOC etc

Or it can be BW Cube data as well. You can jolly welll find these POS Tlog data in Daily Cubes as well.

However worthwhile to mention its quite difficult to read /posdw/tlog via SE16 in POSDM .... as data resides in deep str in this gigantic table...
