Different Confirmation dates in the scedule lines with different routes.

Hi,

We do have a problem with scheduline line confirmation of delivery dates. We do used different kinds of routes. While using one route, say eg: Route: ABC, it carries out forward scheduling using current date, even though we have given a future date for required delivery. But for other routes, eg: Route: DEF, it carries out backward scheduling with the required delivery date. Please note the route ABC is the default route for this.

Eg: SALES ORDER # 123, Material: XYZ, Route: ABC, Requied Delivery Date: 15th June. Here we get confirmation on 30th May

SALES ORDER # 123, Material: XYZ, Route: DEF, Requied Delivery Date: 15th June. Here we get confirmation on 15th June.

Also, transit time for route ABC is 2 days & DEF is 3 days. In house pdtn time for the materail is 5 days, factory calendar has saturday & sunday holiday for the plant, & factory calendar for route has no holidays.

I have no idea, where is the mistake? Pls help.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. However, the thread you have mentioned does not mention about my question. My question is that how come a future delivey date cannot be met? With the problamatic route which I have menioted, I am getting an earlier delivery date.

1)Route with problem

Eg: SALES ORDER # 123, Material: XYZ, Route: ABC, Requied Delivery Date: 15th June. Here we get confirmation on 30th May

Here, I want the delivery on 15th June, but it gives me earlier date 30th May. Why?

2) Route without Problem

SALES ORDER # 123, Material: XYZ, Route: DEF, Requied Delivery Date: 15th June. Here we get confirmation on 15th June.

Here I am gettting correct confirmation on 15th June.

Please do check and advise.

Regards,

Student
