Data migration question

Hi Experts,

After all the configuration, enhancements and user exits are done ,may I know what is the systematic way transferring data from legacies to SAP? Our client is using nearly 8 legacy systems and now we have to bring all the data into sap , But from sd point we have cmr , cmir , pricing conditions and plant data and transportation data. Is there any systematic sequence we have to follow in data migration or any steps? Please provide any links or documentation on how to migrate data.

Thanks,

Kanna.

Hi Kanna,

From SD point of view, the sequence of data upaload goes like t his:

1. Customer Master

2. Material Master (for the basic data and sales views) and other views by MM

3. Credit Master

4. Pricing Conditions

5. Customer Material Info Record

6. Open Sales Orders

7. Open Deliveries

8. Open billing Documents

Before uplaoding the open sales orders, ensure that the inventory upload is completed.

Hi,

U can use:

1: LSMW can be used by functional consultant

2: BDC (done by ABAPER)

I would suggest to use BDC as u said u have upto 8 legacy system. Just consult ur ABAPER.
