Hi,
I'm trying to configure solman 4 that has been setup by someone who left.
I would like to include some satellite system into smsy. SMSY_SETUP show TMS/RFC, and the last data transfer was long time ago.
My questions:
1) If I schedule data transfer for TMS/RFC, will it overwrite system that are already defined in smsy?
2) solman is define as the new domain controller in TMS, but no system defined. However, there's RFC Connection defined to the satellite system. Will it still be able to get the system data?
Thank you.
regards,
zl
Hi,
If there is any change in the existing systems it will be owerwritten. The existing systems will not be removed in SMSY.
Domain Controller doesn't matter. It will still update the data in SMSY.
Hope this helps.
Feel free to revert back.

Hi ZL
Its very difficult to say
Are you saying you are adding systems that ALREADY existing in SMSY?
The only way I could see a problem is if you were adding the same systems via the same data source
- although perhaps all that might happen is that TMS/RFC simply update these existing systems with latest SP info etc
My understanding of TMS/RFC is it either requires TMS to be setup or uses another independant RFC to contact satellite systems
- however this RFC has to have been created correctly during Solution Manager setup
Best wishes
Stuart
