Background job status

Hi All,

Hope everyopne is good. I have small question on background jobs.

What happens to the background which are scheduled to run during SAP down perord? Will t be started automatically after restart?

To answer your question directly,

The jobs will be cancelled when it exceeds the start date and time.

if you set the "no start after" and if it has not elapsed when the system back online, the scheduler can ru it.

The active jobs will be cancelled when system goes down. Also if your system is down for 12 hrs .. any jobs where were scheduled during that period they wont run after the system is up.

If you want them to restart run BTCTRNS1 program from SA38 to unscheduled jobs and BTCTRNS2 to reschedule them.

Of course some jobs run from other systems , therefore setting background processes to 0 will also help in getting the system ready after a refresh or maintenance work. Set them to the proper number when you are ready.

NO, they will not start on the restart. they will simply be skipped.
