Hi All,
Hope everyopne is good. I have small question on background jobs.
What happens to the background which are scheduled to run during SAP down perord? Will t be started automatically after restart?
Thanks,
Nagarjun
To answer your question directly,
The jobs will be cancelled when it exceeds the start date and time.
if you set the "no start after" and if it has not elapsed when the system back online, the scheduler can ru it.

If you want them to restart run BTCTRNS1 program from SA38 to unscheduled jobs and BTCTRNS2 to reschedule them.
Of course some jobs run from other systems , therefore setting background processes to 0 will also help in getting the system ready after a refresh or maintenance work. Set them to the proper number when you are ready.
Hope this helps you understand the job scheduling mechanism during an outage.

NO, they will not start on the restart. they will simply be skipped.
