Startup Problem

Hi,

In my SAPMMC, its showing only upto

Console Root

-

---

SAP R/3 Systems

Under this it must show Instanse name or something right.. Not showing anything..

What is the problem, i tried to register sapmmc.dll and its successful, but no change in the tree view in MMC.

Any Sugg?

Hi Jen,

You need to install the SAP Service. Please go to

\usr\sap\<sid>\SYS\exe\run and install using

sapstartsrv.exe using the <sid>adm as user. Then the MMC

should show the system.

Thanks for reply. I am in Administrator Login in my system

How to run as <sid>adm, my sid is FIC.

and i tried to double click sapstartsrv.exe as Administrator login, its asking some parameters

SID: FIC (in my case)

What are these Four parameters?

NR:

Start Profile:

User:

Password:

Suggest me

I Observed one more thing in System->CPanel->Services

There are two services,

1.SAPFIC_00 Which Status IS EMPTY AND Log On

As .\SAPServiceFIC

2.SAPOSCOL Which Status IS EMPTY AND Log On

As .\SAPServiceFIC

I Tried to Start these Services and its saying.

Error:1069 The Service did not start due to a logon failure.

My Admin already saved the password under Properties->Logon tab

Hi Jen,

Logging in as <sid>adm: Log off the server and log in

as "ficadm". Password for this user is asked during the

installation.

For sapstartsrv.exe:

1. NR is the System Number (you can get that from the directory name itself ./usr/sap/fic/jc<NR>/)

2. Start profile is stored under

./usr/sap/fic/SYS/profile/start*.pfl. Give this path.

3. User has to be SAPServiceFIC.

4. Password asked for SAPServiceFIC during installation.

Once this is done the services and system can be started.

HI Srikishan,

Many thanks for reply, i forgot the password for

ficadm and SAPServiceFIC.(My administrator left without giving passwords)

For ficadm i changed the password(becuase i logged in as Administrator), not i got a doubt that can i change password of ficadm and SAPServiceFIC to make sapstartsrv.exe run successfully?

Hi,

I tried to execute sapstartsrv.exe by changing he password of SAPServiceFIC ( i gave password also SAPServiceFIC). But its saying,

Cannot install Service

CreateService failed: 421

The accountname is invalid or dose not exists, or the password is invalid for the account specified.

<u>Final Parameters i gave</u>

SID: FIC

NR: 00

Startprofile:D:\usr\sap\FIC\SYS\profile\START_DVEBMGS00_FIC

User: SAPServiceFIC

Password: SAPServiceFIC

Hi Jen,

Did you change the SAPServiceFIC user password from My

computer -> Manage -> Users and Groups? Also you may

try your "Administrator" username and password for

running sapstartsrv.exe, it will lack some permissions

but you can try.

Problem Solved. Just i changed the Date to previous date and restarted the system. Its working fine.
