Demand Planning: Two POS with a same planning version

Hi experts,

I have to create new POS and PA in APO Demand Planning for a new country in order not to have conflict betwenn background job for one country and intervativ planning for the other country because of time difference.

Can I use the same planning version that the one still exists (DP_1)? or may I create a new one.

More over planning version is defined in BW Infocube from which I create characteristic combinations. So I prefer to use the same planning version, otherwise I would have te create new Infocube.

Hi Sijmon,

In order to avoid complexity and data piling up, it is always

recommended to have very minimal number of planning versions.

Hence, it is advisable to use the same planning version in your

case. Only in case of any simulation activities, you can go

for other versions

Yes you can use the same planning version for the two planning area. Data in time series is planning area specific, so the question of conflict doesnt arise.

Also, since you say that you need a new PA to avoid conflict, be advised that as long as the data accessed by two jobs is not the same, you shouldl not have issues.
