Sales BoM; partial delivery not working.

Dear All.

We're processing a Sales BoM on a sales order, and we would like to allow partial delivery of the BoM and components. This way shipping can deliver quantity as needed.

However, after the first delivery is created the main item on the sales bom has a status of fully delivered - even though only part of the quantity has been delivered. Even the schedule lines show that only part of the quantity has been delivered.

The components are fine and they show partially delivered. Just the main item is an issue.

Also, the main item is not relevant for inventory - no picking - no pgi - just pricing.

All lines, the main BoM item and the components show that partial delivery is ok. And Fix Date and quantity is not turned on.

Any ideas???

Hi,

For Sales BOM, it is not possible to delivery partially the components, but for an item (as a whole) in the Sales Order, yes it is possible to delivery partially.

If you have 10 unit in your line item and you can delivery 5 of the particular line item, but not the components.

Here's an example of what we're seeing.

BoM - CS03.

Main item A - QTY 1

Comp b - 5

Comp c - 3

So on a sales order for an order of item A for 10, we also have the components of b for 50 and c for 30.

If we deliver 5 of A, which also deliveres 25 of b and 15 of c.

Then when we go back to the order, the status on A is fully delivered???
