Hi Ernesto,

id the DB-server iSeries ? Are the APPL Servers iSeries as well or Win or Linux ?

/usr/sap/sid should work as this is local, but e.g. /usr/sap/sid/sys/profile might be an issue as this is normally located on the central instance host.

Therefore you need sidofr and sidnn with the same password on all boxes ...

Hi Volker:

The O.S. is AS400. I try access whit super-user (QSECOFR). the sidofr and sidnn is OK.

This problem appear after IPL in DB server.

So it worked before the IPL, right?

If so, I think you may have missed a step in the startup. I think you need to STRHOSTSVR. Do this on the command line on AS400.

STRHOSTSVR SERVER(*ALL)

Hi Ernesto,

first question:

Does it work for sidofr and sidnn now as well ?

Then the password for qsecofr might be different ...

Otherwise, I would check the /QFileSvr.400 entry on the remote machine. This needs to contain the iSeries name of the CI. Unfortunately this is always deleted with IPL :-((
