VA05n - the COUNT functionnality is unavailable

Hello SAP experts,

In the transaction VA05n, in the result list, the COUNT function is unavailable.

It's in the menu Edit / Calculate / ...

The other functions (Total, Mean Value, Maximum, Minimum) are active but the "Count" function is inactive (greyed).

Any idea why ?

Check any authorization is restricted for VA05N or Click layout in view tab,Change view to Microsoft excel.

If you have the Authorization then go to SE38 SD_SALES_ORDERS_VIEW > Other Object > GUI status STATUS_DOCLIST_1 > Mode change from Display --- Change > Menu Bar > Billing Document > Issue Output to > Select the Function Code &COUNT & Activate.

Unfortunately, I don't have the rights to do the procedure you have suggested.

Anyway, for info, I also have asked SAP directly and the answered me that this "count" function is unavailable and cannot be activated.

Hi,

VA05N is the standard transaction,that is provided by SAP.

We should not make any changes.

There are many ways.

1.Create a report which is similar to VA05N.Enable the Count functionality.

At the bottom of the report we can display the number of the entries while executing the report.This can be achieved with the help of your ABAPer.

2.Download the report into an excel file and count the number of entries.

Some weired ALV list problem with VA05N

Try two options:

1. Either export to excel and do the counting there

2. If you have one field, which has a similar kind of data, like in my case the distribution channel is always 01, put the search term as 01 and and click on display number of hits. It would give you the count.
