No connection to database, session terminated

hi all,

we are facing a oracle db problem, when we start database, SAP on Solaris 5.10. after some time error comes from sap Gui

No connection to database, session terminated

when we checked db , database was shutdown.

error in Alter_SID.log

ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [4137], [], [], [], [], [], [], []

Were there any structural changes done to the DB before this error started cropping up? let us know the exact scenario when this error started..

I checked on Metalink: Bug 8240762 - Undo corruptions with ORA-600 [4193]/ORA-600 [4194] or ORA-600 [4137] [ID 8240762.8]

This bug is being fixed in 10.2.0.5, but this release is not supported by SAP. You can check if there is an interim patch for this particular problem.

Hi,

What is your database release ?

You can try first shutdown the database if it is in mount state. Then restart the complete system.

If the problem remains same..

Database release 10.2.0.4 with Interm patches.

so many time we restart SAP and Oracle , but no result.

Yesterday we take offline + redolog backup , but backup was not successful and SAP remain off for 3-4 hour, then forcefully we shutdown db and OS. after that when we start db it required media recovery , we done media recovery. then oracle started and opened.

but within 15 to 20 mints, db shutdown automatically and rais error in alter_log as we posted

According to the Metalink document it has to do with Undo mismatch.

I would raise a message at SAP for this, if I where you..

This is critical kind of error...

It would be better to open OSS call to resolve the issue...
