WM Cycle Counting Issue

Hello

We are doing cycle counting for storage type 001 (PZ Continuous Inventory), material M1 and bin XXXX using LICC. In the initial screen, after executing LICC, the 'old physical inv date' is listed as 12/09/2009 and when I look at the bin (LS03N) and LX02 for this material/quant the last inv date is listed as 12/29/2009. All the quants of this material were not subjected any cycle counting (checked in LINV table) and the last goods movement for these quants (of materials M1) is 03/10/2010. My question is how does the LICC calculate the old physcial inv date? From where is the date 12/09/2010 is being picked up?

Any help is much appreciated.

Hi Brian,

If no inventory date exists in the quant it is possible to use flag 'Stock putaway as inventory date' in LICC. The F1 Help for this flag explains:

...

Take Date of Last Putaway as Inventory Date

This indicator specifies that in cycle-counting inventory the date of the last stock putaway for the respective quant is to be taken as the inventory date if no other inventory date is available. This means that the quant in this case is treated as if it were inventoried on the day of the last stock putaway. Therefore, it is not proposed for the cycle-counting inventory immediately after the stock putaway, but only with the next routine count.

Please check the behaviour of LICC with the above flag marked. Hope this helps.
