Mapping some fields of idocs

Hi all,

I'm trying to have a way to map idocs fields received in a SAP system.

Let me give you an example.

I'm trying to pass customers from one system to another, but on the destiny, one of the fields, doesn't exist with that value, but with other. How can I change massivaly a list of idocs or a way to map this field to another value?

This involves a couple of steps usually.

First, you need (usually) to setup an ALE scenario for distributing the IDOCs.

PI will receive the IDOC. Here, you can do the mapping of values before sending it to the target system.

You can use RFC lookup into the sender system or the target system to get the mapping tables, if these are complex logics.

Or, you can do local graphical mapping with mapping tables inside PI, but this has the problems, that only admins can maintain the value tables.

Anyway, these are all standard PI scenarios and you can search at sdn for IDOC-TO-IDOC scenarios and you will find a lot of blos and documentation
