some of the spools don't arrive on the printer at all.

Hello,

The print of invoices (around 23h30 everyday) seems ok in SAP (status completed and green), but some of the spools don't arrive on the printer at all. We had the same problem at the migration ECC6 in March, the driver of printers was changed, but it didn't totally solved the problem apparently. The problem occurs randomly - on monday 3 spools didn't print, last night 12 didn't print. However, some spool look strange: the status 'completed' appears 1h after the start of printing (eg spool n° 19790) - it may be a problem of windows printing queue??

Thank's a lot

In fact it's probably due to the cash memory of your printer. Probably you need to split the charge of your printing. In order to do it I know a software. With this way all your spools are recovered from your outputdevice in the software then you can manage and programming your printing as you want. Say me if you want to know more of this way and if you think it can help you.

I have no idea about memory setting. However, you can try to change the printer setting of that printer to FRONT END PRINTER in host spool access method and see the result.

Hi,

can you check for SM21 logs at the same time when you get the spool issue.

SM50 for Spool process and trace files also.

Also check for Consistency check.

Please, check out if its related to any specific printer. If it is so then it could the printer model or device is not supported by SAP.

Try by defining different device type.

HPLJ4 : HP Laserjet 4 series PCL-5 supports most of the HP Laserjet model. It should work. As requested in earlier post, please spcify how the access method is defined for the printer.

Thanks and Regards,
