control file in sapmnt is not generated

Hi

In usr/sap<SID>/SYS/Global/sapmnt control file size 1 mb is not generating.

can any one help me why this file is not generating ..how can we fix this issue.

Thats a weird path....

The location of your controlfiles is registered in your init<sid>.ora or spfile check thats the paths are right and the files exist.

Is this a new installation?

usually the global directory usr/sap<SID>/SYS/global is linked to /sapmnt/<sid>/global

In /sapmnt/<SID>/Global/sapcontrol ,a control file ex: 1_50113_0_24_1_01_,siddb> has been generating .If we can deleted it again comes after 1 or 2 minutes. But in my system it is not generating.

how can we fix this .

You mean to say control file for SAP CI ...I never heard about that.

More over what is the error and where you are getting this error text?
