sap ides installation prob

hi

i am trying to install sap ides for the first time.

after installing java and setting envoirnment variables sapinst started and than it was stuck on a screen asking for profile. i tried to give different folders of sap at that place but it gave error of default.pfl is missing.

can someone please guide me what is this default.pfl and how i can configure it?

or if someone can tell me where i can download guide for installation of sap ides ecc6 ehp4 on windows 2003 with maxdb

What did you select to be installed?

BTW: you can't install ERP 6.0 with EHP4 on a 32bit platform.

Hi,

The location of DEFAULT.PFL is /usr/sap/SID/SYS/profile ; if it's not there you need to do a fresh installation.
