SAP MMC error

Hi Guys,

I am getting error while bring up the sap from MMC.

Three file are in red color:sapcpe.exe( 2 files are there in mmc with this name) & strdbs.cmd .

I replaced the kernal and got this error.

Although SAP is is up and running and i am able to login but while executing brtools from CLI it is not executing but if i go the folder SYS/exe and click on brtools it will open.

Also i was doing EHP4 upgrade and after giving the key word and specifying the upgrade drive it is giving the error as tp.exe is not reconganised as ext or internal command.

I think kernal upgrade has gone wrong but i i have restored the old kernal but still the same error.

Hi,

'tp.exe' is not recognized as an internal or external command,

Define kernel path in "System Variable" so it will reflect in every users environment.

If you have modified PATH environment variable for any reason, you need to log off and login again...

I think kernal upgrade has gone wrong but i i have restored the old kernal but still the same error.

Also make sure that you have copied the kernel files in 2 locations:

D:\usr\sap\<SID>\SYS\exe\uc\NTAMD64

and

D:\usr\sap\<SID>\DVEBMGS01\exe

Hi,

 ERROR => OCI-call 'OCISessionBegin' failed with rc=1034
ORA-01034: ORACLE not available ORA-27101: shared memory realm does not exist  

Check if LISTERNER service is started and up.

Check if Database is up and running...

Are you able to start the database from command prompt ?

Try "R3trans -d" and check trans.log for errors. Maybe the OPS$ user is not correct. Paste the trans.log here..

As you can see below form your trans.log the moment password is passed DB connection refused. Can you change the passwprd of OPS$ and try it again... I am pasting the error from trans.log below. The issue is with your SAPSR3 user. by the way what was your return code of R3trans -d

Hi,

You can try 2 things:

1. Restart the complete system (with Old kernel)

2. Upgrade the kernel in below directories.

Make sure that new kernel is updated in both location.

D:\usr\sap\<SID>\SYS\exe\uc\NTAMD64

and

D:\usr\sap\<SID>\DVEBMGS01\exe

Then try...

Rest of the things are seems to be working fine...(R3trans -d and OPS$ is also working...)

unicode enabled version

r3trans finished (0000).

I can only find these paths

D:\usr\sap\SND\SYS\exe

&

D:\usr\sap\SND\DVEBMGS00\exe

i cant find the uc\NTAMD64 path.

How can i change the password for OPS$..?

Use BRTOOLS.. and you are having an issue to run that as well... try in \exe though your R3trans -d is working ok as its finished with 0000.. give a try !!

That doesn't look like a OPS$ problem to me...

Hi,

ORA-01034: ORACLE not available ORA-27101: shared memory realm does not exist

It indicate that database is down and can not be started .

But

D:\usr\sap\SND\DVEBMGS00\exe>r3trans -d
This is r3trans version 6.14 (release 701 - 26.01.09 - 12:46:00).

Represent database is up and running.

Can you please recheck , i will suggest you to delete/backup existing logfiles and then reproduce the error.

If R3trans -d is ok you dont need to worry about database and SAP<SID> user.

Then check with your kernels only.

As you said, if there is no "\uc\NTAMD64" path in your filesystem, then your Environement variable "PATH" contains incorrect path of KERNEL Directory... Please correct it as per your acutal KERNEL path.. Then try to stop and start SAP again..

You need to logout and login again after changing Environment Variables,

It may be a cause of your problem.

You don't need to change the password of OPS$ user in database as it identified by Operating systems credentials.
