Can we have Route determination for Surat - Ahmadabad - Indore Combination?

Sir,

My client is starting his operation from Surat to Indore Via 3 possibler routes.

Surat -- Barodai -- Indore

Surat -- Ahmadabad - Indore

Surat -- Dahod -- Indore

1) Is it possible to assign a route to 3 transportation zone combination?

2) Is it possible that client has an option to choose between all possible routes from Surat to Indore

Hi there,

Route determination: Dep zone of shipping point / Dest zone of ship-to / shipping conditions / transportation grp

Logically system will not allow different routes for the same combination. If you want to assign 3 different routes, then atleast the shipping condition / transportation grp should be different.

So define 3 routes in 0VTC. For eg ZSBI (Surat - Baroda - Indore), ZSAI (Surat - Ahmedabad - Indore) & ZSDI

Consider that Dep zone of your shipping point is IN_GUJ. Destination zone (Indore) is IN_MP. Define 3 new shipping conditions Z1 for Baroda route, Z2 for Ahm'bad route, Z3 for another route. Transportation grp will be 0001 from your material master.

Define your routes with the below combination in 0VRF:

IN_GUJ / IN_MP / Z1 / 0001 --> ZSBI

IN_GUJ / IN_MP / Z2 / 0001 --> ZSAI

IN_GUJ / IN_MP / Z3 / 0001 --> ZSDI.

When defining the route, maintain shipment stages like this:

For eg ZSBI: Priliminary Leg Surat warehouse to Baroda Warehouse. Main Leg: Baroda warehouse to Indore Warehouse. Subsequent Leg: Indore warehouse to Indore customer.

So during the sales order entry, depending on the requirement, ask the business user to change the shipping conditions. If they want from Ahm'bad, select shipping conditions Z2 or from Baroda shipping conditions Z1. Shipping conditions in the sales order line item can be changed before delivery creation.

You need to differentiate either shipping condition or T group to maintain above routes .and

For your second question kindly follow below settings

Define Allowed Actual Route By Proposed Route

In this IMG activity, you specify the allowed actual routes for each proposed route. The proposed route is the route determined by the system. The actual routes are the permitted alternative routes which you can enter manually in the sales document in place of the proposed route found by the system. When route determination is repeated in the delivery, the proposed route can be replaced by one of the permitted actual routes. You can check the actual routes to establish whether they are allowed (see section "Specify route determination for each delivery type").

Requirements

First define the routes.

Activities

1. Check which proposed routes can be replaced by actual routes, if necessary.

2. Enter the permitted actual routes for each proposed route.
