Hi

In ECC we will create material groups for both IDCO and UNSPSC.

1. Is there a way of only replicate the UNSPSC to SRM?

2. In SRM. Is there a way of structuring or creating a hierarchy with all these product categories. It would make it easier when creating a free-text shopping cart.

Sincerely

Anders

Anders,

No, they are hidden from searches in our system when creating Describe Requirement shopping carts.

Maybe they are visible in other scenarios but this is the only one relevant for us.

We don't allow direct creation of Purchase orders by anyone.

Not an ideal reply but I hope it helps

Ok thanks Allen.

Have anyone seen a nice hierarchy in SRM of product categories when creating the shopping cart? Developed or not.

Cheers!

Andres,

Did you try putting filters in R3AC3 transaction for DNL_CUST_PROD1. You could put filters based on different fields in tables T023, T023T, T134, T134T, T179 and T179T. One way you can set a filter is based on the number ranges of MATKL field. I am not sure UNSPSC and the other classification overlap in number ranges. The other way is to put a filter on is based on any other field on these tables that identifies the classification.

Will try that. We have just started setting up D environment.

Anders,

We also have a mixture of UNSPSC and other codes as material groups in the ERP and SRM 550 systems.

We migrate them all to product categories in SRM and then restirct to UNSPSC cats only in the Org structure using extended attributes tab at the root of the Org Structure.

If you find another way we would also be interested

Hope this helps

Hi Allen

If you restrict them under extended attributes they still turn up when searching for product categories in "Create Shopping Cart", right?
