what device/platform can run Netweaver Mobile client?

Hi Experts,

I am learning how to build occasionally connected mobile solutions and really want to know what devices and platforms can run the mobile client.

from the configuration and developer guide, it only has infomations about Windows Mobile, but it also say the client is based on J2ME, it should be able to support quite a lot devices and platforms.

so my questions is:

1. what device and platform can run the mobile client? (S60, Blackberry, iPhone, Android?)

2. where i can find out more information about the clients? where i can download?

quite a lot of sap's docs are dated.

Hi Erv2,

SAP Netweaver Mobile 7.1 client only supports Windows Mobile based devices.The client runs on Creme JVM from Nsicom and Creme works only with Windows CE based devices.(http://www.nsicom.com/Default.aspx?tabid=138)

For details on what kind of devices are supported please see the PAM for SAP netweaver Mobile 7.1 at https://websmp110.sap-ag.de/pam.

Note: Windows Mobile 6.0 is not officialy supported.Only those devices which have been 'certified' by SAP are supported.

Hi Amit,

THanks so much for the reply.

It's a pity that SAP Netweaver Mobile client can only run on yesterday's technology, as WM is really losing its edge. And platforms like BB and Android are far supieor than WM.

I hope SAP will come up with a more platform independent client on next release. After all the current client is built on top of J2ME technology.
