Change of Sold to Party in Sales order created with Reference to Contract

Dear Gurus

I want to change the sold to party in Sales Order created with reference to contract.

When I create a Sales order with reference to contract the system copies all the partner functions- Sold to, Ship to, Bill to and Payer alongwith other data.

However Sold to is marked as "Grey" and not changable, rest of the partners can be changed.

There is no subsiquent document created with reference to this Sales Order.

Please advice.

Thanks a lot.

Regards

Raghu

Hi Raghu,

You cannot change the sold to part in Sales order once you have reff with the Contract.

Can you please tell me business req of changing the SP in sales order .

Ideally you should use release partner concept in Contract. so that you can create sales order for all the mentioned release partner in Contract.

Hi Krishna

Requirement is that contract is relased from centralized agency which contains quantity and validity dates which can be sold to different customers as and when they approach .

So we need to change the Sold to Party in reference sales order.

Could you please help how to do that.

Thanks

Hi ,

Please follow the below mentioned step.

1) Create a partner function letts say Authorized SP .

2) Assign all the possible authorised SP (customer) in the contract.

3) When you create sales order with reff to Contract. Put the customer for whom you wish to create a sales order in release partner tab.

Hop this will resolve our problem

Hi

Check the copy control VTAA and at header level for your Contract and Order Combination type maintain "002" in Copying Requirement field.

Hope this will help you.

Thanks Amitesh and Krishna.

Just for info: We will be using the release partner functionality.
