MSSQL Server Licensing Procedure

Hi All,

What is the procedure to buy MS SQL Server 2005/2008 Enterprise Edition license? Has there been a recent change?

I have already referred thread,

Also can anyone please let me know the following:

1. If I have 10 physical servers each with 4 core processors, do i have to buy 40 Licenses? and if virtualization is performed, do I have to multiply the number of licenses?

2. If I buy the licenses from Microsoft, will I get support/software patches from SAP SMP or Microsoft site?

3. What about the script sql4sap.vbs to be executed in this case?
