Emailing to multiple addresses

Former Member

We are in the process of switching our emailing out of ERP to use SMTP and are having trouble with multiple addresses. With our sales order entry, right now, we can enter multiple email addresses on the sold-to partner on the header of the order in VA01. The format we are using is <email address>, <email address> and we could email to multiple addresses.

Since we have switched to SMTP, we are now unable to email to multiple addresses. We can use the following format with the emails <emailaddress1>; <emailaddress2>. However, when we use this, the email is only sent to <emailaddress2>.

Is this possible to send to multiple addresses with standard SAP? Is there another format that we need to enter those addresses in order for both emails to email successfully?

Thanks,

Dale Dingmann

Hi,

You can create a distribution list.

1. Goto tcode SBWP --> "Distribution list" button. Click create.

2. In the Attributes tab, Give a name of distribution list, a Title and a folder name.

3. Go to the "Distribution list content" tab. In the Recipient column, specify the email addresses and in the Recip type select "Internet Address".

4. Save it.

You can use this Distribution list for sending mails to multiple mail ids.
