In terms of response time performance, is WebGUI faster than WinGUI (or vice versa)...assuming bandwidth and sizing are neutral?
Hi,
WebGUI (GUI for HTML) is slower than GUI for Windows because of HTMLB conversion. With GUI for HTML, system takes ABAP source code and generate HTMLB source code, so there is more process. Choose one or other depends on your requirements (output, look&feel).
Hope this helps,
Iván.

Hello,
WINGUI will never be as fast as SAPGUI.
For example because of the difference in technology (SAPGUI is written using the ABAP programming language -
developed by SAP)
In case of WEBGUI conversions are needed , more data transfer can happen, extra connections are needed , etc.
There are some SAP Note regarding WEBGUI performance tuning/configuring.
For example:
742048 Integrated ITS, memory requirement in application server
885580 Integrated ITS: Configuration Parameters
737625 Parameter recommendations for the ICM
1369653 Performance and parallelization of HTTP requests in browser
